Me? ENGAGED??

Well. I never thought it could be-

I am officially engaged!

It is funny where this strange ride we call life will take you.

Not to be a negative Nancy- but at one time I truly thought that I would never get married, or at least not until much later in life. I always thought the idea of having a “match” was a little hokey, and thought that if I was to find someone, based on my track record- it would probably be a true rollercoaster ride of ups and downs.

But- it has happened. I have undoubtedly found my soul-mate, my partner in crime, and my other half, the “one”, the love-of-my-life, and the poor guy who will continually put up with my nonsense!

And with him, there are no ups and downs, no throwing me for a loop, no catching me off-guard. It is what it is. Happy, carefree, comfortable and easy.

And that’s not to say that there haven’t been fights, or quarrels as I like to call them, but when there has been such an occurrence it happens, and we get back up on that horse, and we ride on.

It is funny what curveballs life can throw you. One day you’re in a simple, casual relationship, and the next you’re engaged and moving across the country.

(o.k… maybe there was more than one day in between those, but you get the idea)

This isn’t the beginning of our story, but it is the beginning of a story about the life that were about to start out on together…

I’m just going to try to enjoy the ride…
