Christmas Tour of 2011: Part 1

I am not going to lie. The last week and a half has been EXHAUSTING!!!
But it has been SO much fun!!
We decided to go ahead and do the Christmas Tour again...
This year it included TWO states, and FIVE cities. But those five cities we visited multiple times within our 10 day trip.
It really was crazy. But I would totally do it again!
Here is a little map to help explain...

Our itinerary went a little something like this:
Monday 12/19 : Drive 9 hours from here to London, KY... to my parents house, Dinner with the Moo family
Tuesday 12/20 : Lexington, KY.... for UK v. SAMFORD game, dinner with friends, bar
Wednesday 12/21: Lexington
Thursday 12/22 : Lexington, KY... UK v. LOYOLA game, dinner with my girlfriends, bar
Friday 12/23 : London, KY... Dinner with the Moo's, meeting hometown friends in London
Saturday 12/24 : London, KY.. Christmas presents and traditional breakfast, Frankfort, KY... Christmas Eve in Frankfort with Snookum's family
Sunday 12/25 : Lexington, KY... Christmas Day celebration with Snookums Brother and SIL and new baby Olivia and his Mom & Tom .. Louisville, KY to spend the night
Monday 12/26 : West Baden, IN to Moo's grandparents house for Indiana Christmas! ... back to Louisville, KY to spend the night.
Tuesday 12/27 : Louisville, KY... Dinner with Snookum's grandparents... Drive back 9 hours home!!!!!

I mean. Really. It would be interesting to see how many miles we put on the car!! (And we had to get my car repaired during all this!! haha.
But like I said. So worth it!
(I will have to break all of these posts up into different days!)

Before leaving NC, I realized I really needed to buckle down and figure out what in the world I was going to bring with me...
Skeeter didn't want to get left behind, so he made sure to stay right in the middle of what I was packing AT ALL TIMES.

I bought a little something to help me with the packing process... It was called "MAD HOUSEWIFE" how could I not go for it???
"Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance?"

Upon arriving in London at 7:30 a.m. (MONDAY) we promptly passed out for a couple hours. (we drove through the night, and the GPS took us the CRAZIEST way through the hills of NC... I'm not even going to lie.. I kept replaying scenes out of Wrong Turn.. I was scared!)
Once we finally woke up, we went to Steak and Shake with my brother moo!

That night, the Moo's made their classic dinner, of fish that Daddy Moo had caught on one of his many fishing trips.. Seriously. SO GOOD.

After dinner, we all sat around in the living room, and watched "Christmas Vacation" which may very well be MY FAVORITE Christmas movie there is.. (next to the old school clay-mation rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!!)
I took way too many pictures of Skeeter, and he had enough.... He has become an INSTAGRAM star.. (If you don't follow me, follow me and send me a message, I will follow back! I am OBSESSED with it!)

It was really nice to get to sit down and watch a movie and hang out with the Moo's! (my parents and brother). It was so relaxing to sit in front of the tree that Momma Moo had decorated so cute!
We knew we had a big day the next day.. So we just took it easy the rest of the night!

Tomorrow- TUESDAY of Christmas tour 2011. (HA)

Looks like a wonderful time! I just love Skeeter! He looks so much like Fiona sometimes! And the toy he is playing with is one of Fiona's favorites, too! She has a pink one, of course!

I remember crazy travel holidays like this. I've since moved across the country and now it's just us and a few friends. It's almost euphoric knowing I don't have to drive all over the state at the holidays, although I do miss my family something terrible. :) Thanks for commenting over on my blog. I really appreciate it! I'm a new follower.

What a wonderful start to your Christmas Tour :) Ok, first...Skeeters lil ear are so cute! Second, I would love to get my hands on some Mad Housewife wine :) I'm certainly going to be drinking my fair share of wine to get through this week of movers and packing.
