Christmas Tour of 2011 PT. 3

On the fourth day of Christmas Tour 2011...

We went to yet another University of Kentucky basketball game!!
This one was UK v. Loyolla (whoever that is)

Seriously. It's like a religion.

We didn't have as great of seats as we did the last game, but they were still fairly nice, considering we bought them right before the game!

This is a panoramic view of the stadium, you could see the court MUCH better than shown here!
I just thought it was too cool of a picture not to include it!

This is a little better idea of how "close" we were :)
I had to snap a couple pictures of my "Fear The Brow" shirt that one of my besties Sierra got for me!
She also got Snookums one. The story behind this gem, is one of our most loved players right now,
Anthony Davis, has a MAJOR unibrow. He's also pretty darn good at basketball. And I happen to think he looks like an Angry Bird character.

SEE? Unibrow. Fear The Brow T-Shirt. And he looks like an angry bird... (in my opinion)

Snookums and I took full advantage of the food there at Rupp Arena. We both got a hot dog and nachos and drinks. I'm pretty sure he got some M & M's too.

I know. I'm just so classy :)

I happen to like the center picture of myself the best. Caught in the act!!
It was a pretty fun game! I'm not going to lie, I wasn't super into it, because we were winning the whole time, I didn't know the other team, and I wasn't close enough to lower level where I could do some serious people watching... SOOO I basically just talked Snookum's face off the whole time! haha. OOPS. Bad wifey.

This guy is always outside Rupp playing.
He is actually REALLY good!
It had been threatening to rain all day, and sure enough it started raining as it was time to leave from Rupp. And we had to walk in it. All the way back to the car!!!
It may have ruined my hair, but it wasn't really that bad.
We had a guy come up behind us, while waiting at one of the cross walks, and put his umbrella over our heads too. Just a really cool example of how NICE people are in Kentucky as compared to some other places I have lived..

SEE! No more curls.. Still happy though!

After the game, we headed back to Sierra's, where we were staying, and I fell asleep so FAST for some reason. It was probably just all the traveling and go- go- going we had been doing. The last thing I remember before falling asleep was hearing Snookums commenting out loud to the Family Feud game show, and I gave some answer, heard it was right, and PASSED OUT. haha!
When I finally came to, Snookums was still watching game shows, Sierra was back from work, and our friend Brittney was calling to figure out our plans for the night!
I tried to pull it together, and figure out something to wear.
(You know how hard it is to buck up after you've woken up from a nap?? Well, multiply that by like 25, and that is how slow I move.)

SO. Once we were all put together and ready to go, Brittney and her boyfriend Matt came over, and all of us girls did a little gift exchange!! :)
Except for me. I am awful. I have ordered something for both these girlies and I don't know what it is about my luck (can't go into details because they might read it HAHA) but it has been messed up TWICE. So. Y'all are getting Christmas presents. They just might be in freaking February the way it's looking....

MY LOVELIESSSS. Sierra, myself, and Brittney. Also Miss Daisey!

My awesome tag from Miss Brittney. My family (on my mom's side) nickname for me. "Monita"
(I told you. I have 1000 nicknames.)
Backstory on that one- When I was a wee little thing, I couldn't actually pronounce me "C's" correctly for a short time. So, my own name (Monica) was hard for me to pronounce. I usually switched my "C's" with "T's". Only thing was, I didn't realize that I was pronouncing it correctly.
So when some one would ask me my name, I would say, "Mon-eee-tuh".
They would say it back, and I would say,"NOOO. It's Mon-eee-tuh!!!"
I would get so angry, because I could hear them saying it wrong, but didn't realize I was saying it wrong!! Therefore, my nickname of "Monita"and "Tuh" and "Teedley Tuh" were born.
HAHAHA.

Oh. And they used to mess with me hardcore and ask me what my favorite foods were.
They were cucumbers and macaronis.
Think about that one.
"Too-Tum-Burrs" and "Mat-a- roniss".
I was a cool kid.

Anyway. We all went to dinner at Harry's, which is like a steakhouse/bar. It was sooo fun to get to see everyone again! It felt like everything was back to normal.

Matt and Brittney.                       Moo & Boo (a.k.a Snookums) .                 Sierra and Aaron (a.k.a Acorn)

I look about 200 pounds here. I also look like a bunny rabbit with whatever is over my head.
I swear that I am neither of those things!

YAY!!! Loved getting to see everyone!!!

After dinner, Sierra and her boyfriend Aaron went on back to their house, and Brittney, Matt, Snookums and myself all went to Snookums' beloved bar "TWO KEYS" to grab a drink.
Snookums, (and if I was going to be honest, MYSELF)  have a serious relationship with this place. It's also kind of "the bar" for University of Kentucky. It's where you go for your 21st birthday. (and maybe your 22nd in my case. Don't judge!)
It's also the place to be after games, and on any other UK-esque event. It was also everyone's favorite place to go on "Thirsty Thursday". Ohhh. College.

Here's Snookums. Snookums got his essential "drink from two keys" for the trip.

Brittney and I may have ppl watched the whole time.
Made fun of some outfits.
Totally normal.
After a quick drink at Two Keys, we went down to our FAVORITE bar, Rosebuds!
This is where the whole saga of Snookums and myself started!! We fell in love over the digital jukebox. No. Really. Someday, if my friend can find the pictures, I will have photographic proof of this !!

Also- as a side note. Snookums and I didn't start "dating" or being BF and GF for almost 6 months from that point. We were pretty relaxed and slow to start. But I think it was perfect for us! We just took things "slow" and didn't make things SUPER SERIOUS right away. I think that's something people this day have a hard time with. You don't have to fall "in love" right away and spend every waking moment with the person.
Take your time.
Get to know them.
If it's meant to be, it will come together!
And if it's not, then you haven't put a countless hours and tons of feelings into someone who wasn't right for you!!!
However, I also completely believe in love at first site, relationships that come together quickly BECAUSE they are REAL, and people who just "know".
I just wish (including myself in past relationships) would listen to that little voice in their head that says.. "Is this right??" When it obviously isn't.
(ok. Sorry. END RANT)

I was so pumped to see my honey nibble (Jessica)
that I basically sat on a bar stool all night and we chatted the entire night!
I hardly saw Snookums for a little bit!
OOPS.

Paige, myself, and Jessica!! (a.k.a HONEY NIBBLE!!)
WE took a TON more pictures this night, but they got erased from Jessica's phone by mistake.. I'm pretty sure that they were fairly hilarious. There might have been some photos captured of a couple blow offs that were pretty funny. Oh well!

Snookums and one of his fraternity brothers who also serves in the military!
The fourth day of Christmas Break was so much fun! :)
I'm sure it greatly contributed to how tired we were the next day. But it's all good.
You have to live! :)
