Christmas Tour of 2011 Pt. 4 (Christmas at the Moo's!)

Yes. I am still blogging about Christmas.
HAHA. It's all good. We had a lot going on and I definitely don't want it all in one post!!!
Besides, doesn't everyone want to see some really cool photos like this one??
(sorry snookums. don't hate me!)

On the fourth day of Christmas Tour of 2011...
We woke up from our UK game/ going out in Lexington extravaganza and headed back to The Moo's house :) We had basically ALL of our Christmas presents to wrap once we got back there.

Here's a little something about me, I am WEIRD about wrapping things! I plan it out way too much. All the tags, ribbons, paper, and anything else involved has to match.
I spend TOO MUCH time on it.
One year I even went so far as to wrap everything in Kraft paper and then draw the designs on it with sharpies.
(it was actually pretty cool. I might do it again)

Anyway, most times, when I am wrapping presents I get stressed out because I want them to be perfect!
But, this year, I let go a little bit, and I even let Snookums WRAP SOME OF THEM!
We were in picking up a couple presents at the Liquor Barn on the way back to my parent's house, and I spotted the coolest looking wine EVER.

We were in picking up a couple presents at the Liquor Barn on the way back to my parent's house, and I spotted the coolest looking wine EVER. It's called Jam Jar. If you like sweet wine, I really suggest you give it a try. (It's a sweet shiraz)
I like just about any wine, but this is on the top of my list!!
And the packaging is adorable!
Here are just a FEW of Skeeter's presents this year.
He really is SO spoiled.
(also- his "other name" is Goober or Goobey.. because he is a little Goober)

Momma Moo (my mom)                         To: Momma Moo and Daddy Moo                       Momma Boo (Snookum's Mom)
From: Moo & Boo (me and snookums)
Friday night, when we finally made it to the Moo's, we had some awesome food for dinner! Daddy Moo had made a ham, and Momma Moo made ALL KINDS of goodies. Taco Dip, deviled eggs, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, biscuits, potato skins, peanut butter cookies, etc etc etc.
Seriously. I ate so much.
After wrapping presents, and having dinner, Snookums and I somehow, pulled it together! (we were SO tired) Sierra and I had previously decided that we should go out once we made it back to our home town! So, Snookums and I went and picked up her and her cousin Travis (LOVE HIM) to go to the bar.
(Yes. I said bar. There is basically one in the town where we went to high school)

Once we got Miss Sierra (Messer) , I gave her two more of her Christmas presents :)

Yes. That is a bucket of cheese balls, and a sampler pack of Jim Beam. HAHAHA
We had a good time at "The Hangar". It was really small. And our poor server just had NO IDEA what she was doing.
Example:
Travis ordered a Vodka Soda. Most people would know that drink consists of vodka and soda water. He got a Vodka Coke.
I was like, "did you mean Coke, or like Soda water?"
He was like, "Um, I meant like Soda water! But this is ok!"
The server looked at us like we had 20 heads. Then it dawned on her what we were talking about.
Also- there were only 4 of us drinking. We all basically had the same thing all night. When it came time for the check she just couldn't get it figured out. She had to fix it like 3 times.
She also stood there waiting on us to fill out the tip and sign it. It was really uncomfortable. HAHA
Bless her heart.
Regardless of the service, we had a fabulous time, and actually ended up running into more old friends from high school!!

Travis. Moo. Garrett. Whitney W. Whitney R. (Also known as WEE WEE. Yeah. I gave her that nickname) and Miss Messer!
After our weird, yet fun time at the bar, Snookums, who was our fabulous DD that night, drove Sierra and Travis home, we wished everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and went on back to my parent's house. We may or may not have gotten into all the goodies Momma Moo had made earlier, ate half a tub of beer cheese, and then fell asleep HARD.

The next morning, which was Saturday, and actually Christmas Eve, we woke up and were pumped for everyone to open presents!

In my family, we have a tradition of having Christmas morning breakfast. The breakfast that we always make is eggs, bacon, biscuits, and CHOCOLATE GRAVY.
I'm not sure I have ever heard of anyone else making this? It's my Dad's thing, and it is SO GOOD.

Brother Moo getting serious with the Chocolate Gravy!

After breakfast, we got into the Christmas presents!

Pardon me looking like death, but I thought these photos were too funny not to show.. This is one of Skeeter's many presents. We found him a new bed, that looks exactly like one of his favorite "babies"!
I don't think he was near as excited about getting it, as we were about finding and buying it!

Nope. Doesn't really care.

Skeeter also got a new shirt that says "BAH HUM BUG"  haha

We all had stockings :) In UK blue of course! Again. I apologize for myself looking like death!
One of our presents to everyone this year was T-shirts from Snookums Airborne School Training!
Momma Moo got a pink one, and Daddy Moo got a black one!
My brother also got a black one as well :)

AIRBORNE
Our other present to them was a photo book that I put together and had professionally printed and bound from our wedding!
We wanted to get them a really nice way of remembering the AMAZING day that we wouldn't have been able to do if it wasn't for them! :) :) :)
I think they liked it! Momma Moo might have shed a tear or two.. :)

My Dad is a really good gift-giver! Haha He totally surprised my mom with a present under the tree she didn't know about, and boxed it up in a wine glass box so she would have no idea what it was :)

It was a really pretty jewelry set :)

We all got all kinds of goodies!! Snookums had already opened his "big" present from me before our trip to Lexington, and I wasn't getting my "big" present from him until Christmas Day!
My brother spoiled us with some HUGE chocolate bars, and
Momma and Daddy Moo were very generous this year ;) We felt like little kids again! HAHA
Thanks MOO's!

we're kinda in love.
I would say that Skeeter made out pretty good too! He had his own stocking full of treats, two new babies, two boxes of puppy cookies, a new bed, a new T-shirt and sweater and probably more stuff I don't even remember.
Spoiled Rotten I tell you.

He loved his new baby :)
It was the perfect Christmas with the Moo's!! We can't wait until next year :) :)

Love, love, love the Christmas with the Moos stories and photos! What a great way to remember all of the fun times we had! And yes, the chocolate gravy is delicious! We put a little spin on the recipe this year and used almond flavoring instead of vanilla! Yum! Yum!
Maybe we'll share the recipe with you all next year?!
Thanks for the beautiful thoughts and sweet words!
We LOVE you and Snookums!
Can't wait to do it again next year!
