Wedding Wednesday: The Morning of the BIG DAY!

The week of our wedding had been SO stressful! In case you don't know the back story, I had planned all of our wedding in about two months from Oklahoma, with only two trips into Kentucky to finalize plans before the week of our wedding. So, to say that things were a little crunched is and understatement!
The weather was cold, icky, and rainy all week, and we were PRAYING that the weather would cooperate. We had an indoor back up space, but I really envisioned our wedding being a rooftop event!
The night before the wedding we had our rehearsal on the rooftop and everyone was FREEZING. It was still gorgeous with the sunset outside, but SO SO COLD and drizzling towards the end. We were all so nervous that it just wouldn't work out. That night when all of us girls went back to the hotel to hang out and go to sleep I said a SERIOUS prayer that the weather would work out.
The next morning, we woke up and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! So perfect, hardly a cloud in the sky, and high 60's for the day! It really could not have worked out better. Everything just fell into place!
There were definitely some mishaps along the way, but they all got resolved thanks to my momma moo and Snookums mom, and all my friends and family involved. It really and truly was amazing.

The day started with all of us girls going to the loft space to get ready for the big day! :)
Our wedding was on the rooftop of The Glassworks building in downtown Louisville Kentucky. It's situated right along the river, and has some AMAZING views from all sides! (Notice, there isn't a single cloud in the sky!!)
The reception area has a long row of windows that looked down on the glass blowing studio within the space. That morning when we arrived, there were artists there! The location has a couple fun options of how to incorporate the glass blowing into your reception and ceremony, such a glass blowing show, tutorial, and fire performers!! We opted not to do anymore entertainment since we had a full band!
Of course, we had to have our Starbucks!! Some of my bridesmaids, Jessica and Whitney, went and picked up coffee for all of us. They told the barista which one was mine, and they wrote "Bride to Be" on it!
It's the little things!
All my girls received a pair of silk black flats, a mini bottle of champagne, and their own glasses for the day of :)
I made their names on the cups what I usually call them, or have them in my phone as! haha
(kind of a bridesmaid pimp cup if you will!)
"Miss Brittney" (Brittney), "Marinelli" (Amanda), "Linny" (Lindsey), "Honey Nibble" (Jessica), "Wee Wee" (Whitney), and in the front was my maid of honor (Sierra!) Also- not pictured was the glass for my other bridesmaid "Mrs. Streetman" (Darcy)
My day started out a little rough- if you can't tell by the way I look in these pictures.
I felt like I had a fever, I was exhausted and shaky, and I really was a NERVOUS wreck.
I wasn't nervous about getting married to Snookums, because I was 100% sure about it! But I was nervous that things would go the way I wanted them to!!

Amanda and myself.. Ready to get this show on the road!

The whole morning started out a little stressful, but it ended up being SO MUCH FUN! Everyone looked amazing, and we all just had a good time getting excited about what was to come that night!

Next wednesday.. Bridal hair and makeup! :)

Hi! The loft where y'all got ready at looks amazing. Very urban. Oh, I love it! I would live in something like that, you know? Haha.

I can't believe you turned down the glass-blowing! I would have snatched that right up! :) I'm obsessed with blown glass. Obsessed. (I wish I could display my old "pipes" from college because the are BEAUTIFUL blown glass..but obviously that would look bad. And hubby says no, so..haha) Love blown glass.

Anyway. You are so pretty! I can't wait to read more about your wedding! I'm trying to post up a wedding post today, too! Funny thing...it's on getting ready too! Xo's!
