Quite some time ago, there was this really cool "accent test" floating around blog land. (I know, I'm late to the party). I told Snookums about it, and he initially laughed, because of how strong my accent is. I then told him, that I wanted him to take the "test" with me.
See, he also has an accent. It isn't around all of the time, but it comes out on certain words! But HE doesn't think he has as bad of an accent as I do.
He's right.
Mine is SOOO much worse.
You can tell I'm noticing how bad it is as I am reading the words!
(ALSO. If you haven't seen this: this is how it works. You read the words as you would SAY them. Then you have a list of questions that you are supposed to supply the answer to!)

"No, go slow!"(me)
"You don't say it like FIRE?!"(me)
"That is NOT how you say those!"(me)
"It's just like an answer... but you can't read it!"(me)
"I said doodle bug for some reason?!"(me)
"Paw Paw"(Snookums)
"What do you call it when it rains and the sun is shining?" (me) "Uhhh I don't know? RAIN?" "It's rain!"(Snookums) "No, it's drizzling.. it's drizzlin'." (me) "No. It's rain"(snookums)
"No you call it a mote."(me) "well, that's just a joke?"(snookums)
I think his confusion on "what do you call gym shoes.. is hilarious.
Really. I realize we are not that funny.. But I hope y'all enjoy getting to know Snookums and I a little better!!!

I don't have that much of an accent as I was born and raise din Florida, but the answers to the questions at the end are the same for me. (I was even going to comment and let you know it's drizzling if it rains while the sun shines.)

I love that your hubs was smiling the whole time. I'm from Texas, but I don't think I have an accent. I do say 'y'all' though, which makes people in Hawaii smile ;-)

That is too cute! Your accent is stronger than his, but it was cute watching you two together. My husband makes fun of me for having a "northern" accent, I just tell him he's full of it. :)

My vote is on you with more of a accent over the hubbs.
I like to think that I don't have a accent but my hubbs says I do and he really makes fun of me on certain words. He says its the country in me lol

This is SO cute!! =) I think y'all are both southern...but your accent is def worse. I will say that this test isn't 100% accurate.. it's easy to say a word the way it's supposed to be pronounced when you're asked....but if you are USING the word in a sentence, you might say it differently. If that makes sense. Haha. Anyway. Y'all are ADORABLE!! =) Love it!
