Do you have a Valentine??

Y'all. Valentine's Day is right around the corner!
I am not even going to lie about it. I LOVE VALENTINE'S DAY!!

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping for my little tear off Valentine's Day cards to give out in class! (You remember, they tore off, had little envelopes, and little stickers!) And I LOVED dropping them into everyone's little Valentine's Day bags or baskets!!!
AHH I'm excited just thinking about it! LOL
Remember shopping for these??? I took WAY too long deciding which ones I wanted!
If I was shopping for Valentines this year, I would totally go with the NERDS pack!
This year, I have been browsing the LOVELY pinterest, and looking for a couple ideas for my Snookums that are not only cute, but that are also something he could take with him when he leaves, or could double as deployment care package ideas!!!
Here are a couple I have found...
( I won't say what I am actually doing since he reads my bloggy sometimes!!)

A deck of cards is the perfect way to tell your man the 52 reasons you love him!
Your daily dose of treats!!

On another note, the main reason I am writing this post is to remind people of those who aren't as fortunate to have their loved ones home with them this Valentine's Day as well as all those SOLDIERS overseas!!!!
As an Army Wife, I realize that I am very lucky to have my husband home this year!! There are many ladies (and guys!) out there who aren't as lucky as I am right now!

I just want to remind everyone, if you know a military spouse that is back home without their loved one this year, why don't you take a few minutes to send them a card, text them a sweet "thinking of you" message or give them a call? Or send your loved one overseas a Valentine's Day card???
If you don't know someone who is currently deployed, there are a lot of different charities and groups that will gladly help you send a Valentine's Day card overseas to a soldier!
It just puts it into perspective that there are people who would give ANYTHING to go on some "cheesy" Valentine's Day date with their loved one, but can't because they are serving overseas!

(as a side note: You can always "adopt a soldier" and send care packages and cards at ANY time throughout the year!)

Lastly- Would any of my bloggy friends want to do a Valentine's Day card swap?!?
I made some super cute ones this year while I was waiting on Snookums to come home one night, and I want to send these bad boys out!! :)
A pixelated preview.. because, what is the fun if you already see it?!
Leave me a comment if you might be interested!!!

I remember picking out the cards to share at our school parties it was so much fun.
I love Valentines day but for what ever reason we have not even talked about what we are going to do this year. I don't know if its because of his school or what but we shall see. Thanks for reminding us all of the ones that are with out their loved ones this year, that was me last year and my best friend this year. Its heart breaking to go through these days with out the one you love.

Your post totally made me tear up! You are SO RIGHT that there are people in the military that we should focus on, especially if we don't have Valentines Day to share with a loved one! Your post really puts in perspective what is important in life. I am so glad you have your husband home for Valentines Day this year! Thank you so much for visiting my blog!! I'm glad our hearts are in the same place! xoxo

This is so sweet of you! I would join in on the Vday card swap but I think with the PCS chaos it would get lost in the mail :( I'll definitely join in on another swap if you ever do another one :)
