Hi. My name is Moo. And my dog is weird.

Hey new peeps! Just wanted to do a little refresher on who I am...
 My name is Moo.
I blog about things like.. my life, my husband, the military, my dog, deployments, care package fun and some random DIY things thrown in there.
It's basically whatever is in my head at the time!
One of my absolute favorite things to write about (besides my husband) is my dog.
Meet Skeeter.
He is one of the STRANGEST dogs you will ever meet.
He is very set in his ways, and demands my attention at all times.
I also think he might have a touch of the "hoarding" tendencies.

The only time he isn't all up in my business and following me around is when he is spending time with his "sister wives."
Skeeter has 3 very special ladies in his life.
They are the sister wives.
There is a pink. a yellow. and his VERY favorite, a blue one.
The blue one is his first sister wife. She has been through it all with him.
He makes sure she comes to bed with him every single night, and travels around the house with him throughout the day.
Wherever Skeeter is, the blue sister wife will be.
Skeeter also has a basket of "brother boyfriends" that he refuses to leave put away in his basket.
Any time I pick them up and put them away, he is right behind me tipping the basket over and pulling them out.
I'm thinking that I have not only a promiscuous young pup on my hands, but possibly a hoarder too.
My dog makes my day to day life just a little better. I don't know what I would do without my hoarding and multiple partner puppy.

So glad to see all you new followers and friends!! If you haven't said HEY yet.. leave me a comment, let me know who you are, if you blog, etc!! :)

St. Patty's day and the CATS!

This year, I got to come back to Kentucky and spend St. Patrick's day with some of my friends!
There was just as much UK blue around as there was GREEN! :)
My first "green" beer of the day!
All three of these lovelies are some of my best buds, and were in my wedding :)
Lexington has a parade every year that a TON of people walk downtown for!
It was supposed to rain all day, but it ended up being warm and gorgeous out!
These two photos crack me up. There was a Moe's (mexican food) float that was in the parade, that was handing out bags of chips and queso. Jessica didn't realize they were giving out food until they were all the way down the street. She ran down the middle of the parade to make sure to get her chips and dip!!!
goofballs.
Some of the "parade" was quite interesting. There were tractors, random cars, llamas?!? and the humane society had some cute little doggies with green hair.
After the parade downtown, we went in one of the local bars for a little bit, and then headed to our beloved TWO KEYS to watch the CATS play!
Two Keys is the place to be to watch the CATS play. It gets packed out. We went and scored a table at 5 p.m. for a game that started at 7:45. When it's a BIG game, you usually have to be there when they open in the MORNING for a table.
Two Keys is also known for it's "fishbowl" drinks. Our favorite is the "trashcan". Literally, it is a fishbowl, with a TON of stuff in it, including a toy shark with a shot, and a FULL redbull. It is death in a fishbowl.
We all had SUCH a good time. It was a perfect Kentucky weekend! I got to see all my friends, got to go to Two Keys, I got to watch the CATS win, and we ended our night with some Mad Mushroom pizza. It doesn't get more "Lexington" than that.
ALSO. SIDE NOTE: I'm not sure if any of you all keep up with the NCAA championship, but UK has advanced to the FINAL FOUR!! We beat Baylor yesterday, and University of Louisville beat Florida on Saturday.
That only means one thing, we will be playing our BIGGEST RIVALRY (UL) this next Saturday. I can't even put into words how CRAZY it is going to be in Lexington, Louisville and New Orleans (where the game is) this next weekend.
People lose their minds. Last year there was a full swat team outside of Two Keys and Tin Roof when we played UofL, and that was just a regular game, not a final four game.
I am so excited I can't stand it!!
If you don't have a favorite team, you can adopt mine and help the Big Blue Nation cheer on the CATS!

Project 366.. Sort of.

Well. I fully intended on sharing a few more photos from this last week, but BLOGGER has decided it doesn't want to let me upload photos correctly!
Has anyone else ever had that problem? It let's me load them, but some of them come out discolored and messed up. I don't get it.
And I don't feel like dealing with it. I'm feeling a little under the weather today, and I've been trying for an hour! haha
Anyway, on with my 1/4 of a post..
1. Skeeter  makes himself comfortable anywhere.
2. One of my best buds (also known as "honey nibble") is showing off my AIRBORNE shirt!
3. AWESOME texts from my Snookums. These are what make my days o.k!
Really. He is hilarious. And I love him. And I miss him.

So. BLOGGER. get your act together. I would like to share more photos.
Really, has anyone else had this problem?

Happy Monday Everyone!

UK BLUE

Today, in the great state of Kentucky, and of course, Indiana too.. There is much abuzz about the game this evening in Atlanta.
Our beloved UK is matching up with the less beloved IU.
(University of Kentucky, and Indiana University)
Although almost all of my momma moo's side of the family is located in Indiana, and are huge fans, I have one thing I would like to share with them...
We're ready IU. This match up will be different than the last.
It's on.

In honor of the game today, I have decided to show my school spirit on my nails!
Because, having sparkly UK blue nails will totally help us win, right?

If you are interested in knowing a little more about the ongoing rivalry between UK and IU here is a funny little post from the guys at Kentucky Sports Radio (awesome blog).

The BIG BLUE NATION is everywhere y'all. I know a certain someone (Snookums) is waking up in the wee hours of the morning to catch the game!
We UK fans are serious.

Army Wives Season 6: Episode 4

"Learning Curve"
This episode seemed like a "filler" episode to me. I am HOPING that it was setting up the story-line with Jackie and Claudia Joy.
The episode opened with the ladies and Roland having lunch over at Claudia Joy's, talking about how much they missed Pamela, and how BAD Roxy wanted to go to the Craig Morgan benefit concert. Claudia Joy and Denise had to tell her that it was only for the Senior Officers and their wives. Roxy retorted with "So now your telling me that once my husband has FINALLY made Officer, now he isn't OFFICER ENOUGH??"
(oh the joys of the Army. It's always about the next promotion or the next move.)
We saw that Charlie brought a misguided young teen in to talk to Roland, who then, the next day brought in a friend for counseling as well. This led Charlie to ask Roland to be the head of a teenager outreach program in the Youth Activities Outreach that she runs on base. Roland expressed some concern, and turned her down, but eventually said he would think about it.
Tension seemed to be brewing between Claudia Joy, Jackie, and Denise. Jackie appears to be trying to push Claudia Joy right on out of the FRG. In one scene, Jackie asks Claudia Joy for her help planning the seating arrangements for the benefit concert with Craig Morgan, but then has Denise help her before Claudia Joy can arrive, only to tell her that she and Denise have it taken care of.
In one of my favorite scenes from the episode and the most telling scene of Jackie's character, Denise asks if there is any way to make an exception for Roxy and Trevor to be invited to the benefit. Jackie answers her in an appropriate way at first, by saying that she can't show favoritism to friends, because it would reflect badly on her and General Clarke. However, she then goes on to say that it wouldn't be appropriate anyway because a 2LT and his wife would stick out like a sore thumb. LOL
(YOU KNOW that this 2LT's wife didn't like that comment. Jackie- I know for certain that I don't like you now!! hahaha)
Speaking of Roxy, Trevor came home to tell her that they were hosting a BBQ that weekend for his platoon. (Has this ever happened to any of y'all yet? I think my husband knows better than to spring a BBQ on me last minute! But, most wives would say if their husband looked like Trevor, they would do whatever he wanted. I happen to think my hubby is hotter than Trevor... but I would STILL be mad if he sprung a BBQ on me!!)
Another of my favorite scenes was when Roxy went to Denise for some advice on how to host the BBQ. Denise told her to buy and make triple what she thought she might need. Roxy then asked her, "Who pays for this?" To which Denise replied, "You do dear. Welcome to the Officer side."
AMEN. (and I will say no more.)
Somehow, Roxy pulled it together and got it done. She made the food, hosted the BBQ, and managed to food poison everyone in Trevor's platoon with her macaroni salad.
Oh Roxy.
Also, Claudia Joy went with Michael to meet up with some old friends for dinner in Washington D.C.
Susan Lucci guest starred, (how appropriate right? need some wifey drama? Throw Susan Lucci up in there, she'll shake it up!)
Long story short, Susan Lucci told Claudia Joy some dirt on Jackie and General Clarke, and told Claudia Joy to get together a strategy.
The episode ended with the the benefit concert, and Claudia Joy standing by herself afterwards.

Honestly, I thought this episode was kind of boring. I liked the whole part about Roxy, because she's hilarious, and OF COURSE she would get everyone sick. But, I am hoping that this episode was just a set up for the next episode, where things are about to go down between Claudia Joy and Jackie. From the previews, it seems like Jackie might start up some rumors about Claudia Joy and Michael, which causes Claudia Joy to threaten her back with some "dirt"!
What did you all think of this episode?! Would you mess with Claudia Joy?

Teach Me 'Bout Kentucky

Well folks, as mentioned in last post, I am back in KENTUCKY!
My first couple days here have been spent doing good ol' kentucky things.
Things like...
Admiring how there were American Flags EVERYWHERE and watching the sun come up!
Going to the "tire shop" with my Daddy Moo...
Spending some quality time with Daddy Moo, which included going to the local Hardee's for breakfast...
(It is THE place to be around here. Everyone over 50 is there.)
Letting my little Skeeter boy do some running around without a leash, which usually leads to him getting a little messy...
Taking tons of photos of the sunrise, because it was BEAUTIFUL....
Taking a couple pictures of the "wildlife"
(stuffed animals all over the tire shop)..
One person who saw this on instagram thought it was IN MY HOUSE. Nope. Sorry. We have stuffed/mounted deer and fish, and maybe a squirrel or two, but no woodchuck things.
 Or whatever that is.
My Dad and I putting Skeeter through the horror of a impromptu photo shoot with a bear...
(no Skeeter's were harmed in these photos)
Starting up some old habits again..
Falling in love with the cutest little birdhouse and taking a million pics...
 (it's adorable, right?)
Wearing only comfortable clothes, and not CARING what I looked like...
Spending the evening sitting out on our front porch swing...
Watching the sunset with Skeeter from my parent's wrap around porch..
And I spending lots and lots of time resting up and getting some great sleep!! FINALLY!!!
I have been taking it easy. And it has been awesome.
JUST what I needed.
I may just stay awhile....
